Where the Smart Money is Renovating

A read on all 90 Pittsburgh neighborhoods — median values, days on market, year-over-year trends, and a contractor's view on where the renovation dollar is working hardest right now. Numbers come straight from Zillow and Redfin, refreshed monthly. We don't sugar-coat them. Click any neighborhood on the map to dig in.

Coverage. All 90 official City of Pittsburgh planning neighborhoods are mapped. Boundary geometry is sourced from the Western Pennsylvania Regional Data Center. The top 10 chip bar surfaces the hottest markets ranked by composite momentum (year-over-year appreciation + days-on-market + inventory tightness).

Methodology. Typical home value and year-over-year change are pulled directly from the Zillow Home Value Index (smoothed, seasonally adjusted). Days on market, $/sq ft, and active inventory are pulled from the Redfin Data Center (90-day rolling, all residential). Both sources are zip-code level; neighborhoods that share a zip with others are marked Estimate. Numbers refresh monthly — we don't shade them up or down. If the Pittsburgh market is soft this quarter, that's what the page will say. Each neighborhood is then paired with a Field Take from CP Interiors: a contractor's read on the housing stock, the renovation moves that tend to pencil here, and what to watch for before underwriting scope.
